looking forward Public land dispersed camping in northeast Utah or southwest Wyoming. Preferred by water and within 2.75 hours of SLC (any suggestions?)

Just drove (again) between SLC and Pinedale wy, man, that area is about as barren as barren gets.

caltopo has a map layer showing public lands that might help.

plenty of BLM land but idk about water.

try to make it to the green river area or Pinedale and the bridge wilderness, 2nd most beautiful area in US

Isn’t there a wilderness area/NF near slc, uintas? Also check out cache nf and bridger nf

good luck

Uintas fits all of your boxes. It is beautiful with lots of trees and lakes and rivers.  You can take mirror lake highway from Wyoming or Kamas to get there.
