It's been a rough year as everyone knows in this covid age. I am hoping to connect with people in New Hampshire to hike beautiful locations in New Hampshire. Can be weekend or weekday, but definitely not the crack of dawn.
I am an amateur hiker who is looking to learn more about hiking so that I can go hiking more often. There are still a couple good months for hiking. I am thinking somewhere between a 2 and 6 hour hike is my current range.
If you are interested in talking about going hiking or know someone or even a club/group who might be interested let me know. "winter is coming"
Hi @Jefferson53 - Thanks for reaching out!
It's great to hear you're getting into hiking. There are so many amazing trails around New Hampshire.
While we are hopeful some of the folks tagged in your introduction will weigh in or want to join you out on the trails, we also wanted to suggest some additional opportunities. In October, REI is hosting an evening group hike event based in Conway. If interested, this may be a great chance to meet others and learn more about hiking in the process!
There is also a group on Meetup called The White Mountains and Great North Woods Outdoors Group that might have some hikes that interest you.
Hopefully this helps!
Thanks for the information. I tried looking in meetup on my phone without using the link you provided since I don't access REI conversations on my phone without any luck even when I typed the name exactly as you indicated. I will try accessing meetup through my computer so I can make use of the link.
I am definitely interested in the October group hike so I will be clicking on that link as well.
Thanks for the help.
Side note- I noticed that I didn't see a link for REI communications on the REI website. Is there a reason I didn't see it under the "more" tab?
Hi Jefferson - Sounds good! Hopefully those links provide you some valuable information.
On REI.com on a cell phone, you will find Conversations by scrolling to the bottom of the page, where it is listed among other REI programs and features. Hopefully that will make getting there quicker in the future.
