Hi all - 

Pam from the Mitten here! I've always loved being outdoors - especially hiking - but I'm trying to branch out and try more challenging trails this year that will actually require some better boots and a few supplies. I was excited to find this whole "conversations" feature on REI so I can learn what gear I should/should not invest in. 

I'm also hoping to tackle kayaking this year, but it's been YEARS since I've even sat in a kayak. I just remember loving it. I'm hoping to find some truly newbie resources for that on here as well.
