My husband and I are looking for some places to go hike in, camp, and possibly fish in sw Idaho summer of 2021. Thinking of a few days (4-6), a loop would be great but not required, with trees for hammocks, and as few people as possible. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. We are aged (55, and 65) so don't want anything super crazy. Thanks in advance!
Hi @acheela - Love the planning! Such a great part of the country. Are you looking to set up a basecamp for those days or hike around to different camp sites? Not sure how far into the SW corner you want to be, but the Alice Toxaway Loop is absolutely incredible. Debatably some of the most beautiful views in the Sawtooth Mountains. There are lots of ways to customize your route to fit your wants/needs, but I'd say the effort to get over the ridge and see Lake Imogene is definitely worth it!
