I am looking to find some hiking boots- -I traced and measured my feet per the instructions on your web site and my feet are 11" long. But I am typically 9/9.5. What size boot should I try?

@gfh thanks for reaching out! A few questions before we can make specific recommendations:
- What kind of hiking are you going to be doing? Average length/duration of your hikes? Carrying any significant weight in a pack?
- Where are you likely do much of your hiking? Warm/cold? Wet/dry?
- More about your feet - are they wide/narrow/average? Are they high/low/medium volume? Any trouble spots, like bunions?
Knowing those details will help us make specific recommendations of boots to consider! In the meantime, you might consider booking a free virtual outfitting appointment with an REI employee - we also have a helpful article on how to pick a hiking boot and another on how to choose between a hiking boot and a trail running shoe. Hope this helps get you started!

@gfh thanks for the additional information! Based on your measurements of 11" long and 4" wide, you would wear a Men's size 11-11.5 and in a medium width boot. For the hike you describe, you might consider one of the following options:
We'd definitely recommend a virtual outfitting appointment to help answer any additional questions you might have! Hope this helps!
