Hello REI--
Will Werner kayak paddles be available through REI this spring? I'm looking for a Werner Camano 2 piece bend shaft (citrus preferred). Thanks!

Hi @CRA - Thanks for reaching out!
Unfortunately, we are not carrying the Werner Camano Bent-Shaft Paddles this year.
Let us know if you are interested in hearing recommendations for alternatives and we'd be happy to help!

. . . another question: when might co-op cty 2.2 bikes be in stock? I really like the gear ratio range. Post pandemic, might I be able to compare the 2.2 with the quick cx 2?

Hi @CRA - It's great to hear your interest in the CTY 2.2! We are expecting to get additional inventory of that model by the end of this month. Many bikes have been selling out quickly once they are back in stock, so we suggest checking the website frequently to keep track of availability.
We are going to reach out to some of our paddling experts about good alternatives for the Camano and will circle back here when we have an answer.
Thanks!

Much appreciated. Thanks! I'll be in the market for a new bike once I sell my Roll Elite. Not fond of the posture/seat, but love the gear range. Bike feels unwieldly on a trail--'twas a good choice before shoulder replacement in 2018. Now I can ride and paddle again (at 70+) and would like to move on from the cruiser. Looking forward to testing a CTY 2.2 (or perhaps the Cannondale Quick CX if they return).

Recommendation welcome--I lost (well, a family member lost!) my Werner Camano during a trip this past fall. It was my low angle option and light (though my straight shaft high angle paddle is lighter).

Hi @CRA - We heard back from one of the kayak experts at our Denver store and they suggested taking a look at the Aqua Bound Trango Paddle. It's another 2-piece straight shaft with fiberglass blades for a low-angle paddler.
These paddles are currently out of stock, but additional inventory is expected to arrive any day now. We suggest checking the website periodically to keep track of availability.
May your next kayaking trips be good fun (and not include losing a paddle)!
Hopefully this recommendation helps!
