Hi, I had reserved and paid for rental gear for a trip next weekend (21-25). Will I still be able to pick up or reschedule to the week after? Please advise. Thanks

Unfortunately, you will not be able to pick up your rental for the 21 - 25th. You will receive a refund for that equipment. As you can imagine, everything is rapidly evolving and our plan, as of now, is to reopen our stores on March 28, at which time you could rent the equipment again if you were able to reschedule your trip. That being said, we will continue to evaluate the situation around the country and keep our members and employees updated as quickly as possible if things change.

Thanks for the quick reply John. Can I still buy stuff from REI online and have it shipped during this temporary closure period? Will you still be shipping out online purchases made during this time?

Thank you for your patience as we work through this challenging time. To answer your question: yes! Our website and distribution centers will still be open and fulfilling orders. In fact, REI has waved standard shipping fees on all purchases (even international and oversized orders) through March 27th.
