Looking for a heart rate monitor that is compatible with my exercise bike.

I recently purchased a Schwinn Airdyne Pro on the advice of a doctor (ortho doc after surgery) and looking for a heart rate monitor that is compatable.  Schwinn requires a non-coded monitor. This is the strap only transmitter.

Ideally I would like to have a compatable watch to use with strap so I can use for both the Airdyne and hiking when released to do so by my doctor.  I'm 72 and looking forward to hiking again.

Based on what we can see in the specs for the Schwinn Airdyne Pro (requires a Polar Heart Rate strap that transmits at 4.5 - 5.5 kHz) the best option for you would be the Polar H10 Heart Rate Sensor. It is also Bluetooth and ANT+ enabled so it will work with a variety of watches and smartphones.

@REI-JohnJ Bought the Polar H10 from REI and it will not pair with the Schwinn Airdyne Pro.

any suggestions?
