The Pawnee Buttes Trail is an iconic spot, located within the more than 200,000 acre Pawnee National Grasslands. The flooding of 2013 did a lot of damage in this highly erodible landscape, but with limited resources, the understaffed district rangers have not been able to address it yet. Volunteers will be repairing steps and the trail surface in the more remote sections of the trail. Spend a day on the plains under the big sky with sweeping views of this unique area!
WHEN: November 21st and November 27th (#OptOutside) from 9am to 4pm. Registration and COVID protocols available here.
