Hey fellow Denver/Boulder-area cyclists! Some of the most fun day-rides are destinations at notable general stores, coffee shops, diners, etc. I want to share a few of my favs, but I'd also love to hear about yours!
- Jackleggers (Ward, CO)
- +/- 15mi climb from Boulder, up Lefthand Canyon.
- espresso, baked goods, general store
- Raymond General Store (Raymond, CO)
- +/- 30mi ride/climb from Boulder (through Lyons or from Peak to Peak Hwy)
- general store (snacks like candy and gatorade)
- Buffalo Bill's Pahaskee Teepee store (Golden, CO... top of lookout mountain)
- +/- 10mi ride up lookout mountain
- tourist trap general store serving burgers, fudge, candy, and espresso!
- Pleasant Park School (Conifer, CO -ish)
- +/- 15mi climb from Chatman Reservoir, up deer creek canyon and highline road
- outside of an old school, donation-supported ice chests with COLD gatorade and homemade cookies... it's almost too good to be true!
Any others you guys know about? Happy riding!
