The problem: The fabric at the bottom of bikingpants legs gets caught in the front gears:
Cure to solutions: Bike clips or Velcro straps to cinch the pants leg fabric to your ankle so it’s doesn’t come into contact with the front gears.
Deficiency of bike clips and straps. (1) They may not work because fabric around where they cinch the pants leg may puff out and get caught anyway. (2) They can fall off while riding, or simply get lost afterwards.
Design solution: Incorporate elastic to the bottom of the pants leg (really only need it on the right leg). Could incorporate hi-biz reflective material with the elasticize pants cuffs.
Hi @SkipBn - Thanks so much for this suggestion! One of the reasons we're most excited for this online community is the ability to hear directly from our customers with their ideas, suggestions, and feedback. We have forwarded your note about improving the cuffs of our cycling pants along to our Co-op Brands team.
Thanks again for bringing this to the community!
Hi @SkipBn - As we dug into this a little bit more, we noticed that some of the cycling pants we offer have the features that you are describing. We wanted to see if those pants weren’t on your radar yet or if you had used them already and they didn’t work for you. Both of the following pants have options to cinch around the ankle to keep them from interfering with your bike:
Is there a specific pair of pants that you want these features added to or that has an existing system that you would like to see improved?
Thanks again for sharing this feedback with us!
