Re: make sure I buy the right pedals to fit my biking shoes....
Hi everyone. I am new to cycling ….in the sense that I have been doing spin classes at my local gym but now want to use my bike shoes on my home recreational bike. I want to make sure that I purchase the CORRECT pedals that fit the clips on my bike shoes. It appears that all cleats may not be the same and would hate to order pedals and than come to find out that I purchase the wrong ones. Hoped someone would be able to advise...
The clips on my shoes have the following markings: Shimono sm-sh51.
I found shimono pedals on the REI website, but don't know which ones will fit my shoes. I liked the ones that flip sides and allow one to wear regular tennis shoes.

The Shimano sm-sh51 cleats will work with any Shimano mountain bike or clik'r style pedal. You mentioned liking the pedals that have a flat pedal on one side and cleat on the other. This is an example of one that would work well for you.
Have fun out there!
