Extra spokes on the co-op adv1.1 bicycle

There are two extra spokes on the right chain stay of the adv 1.1.
1) are they the same length?

2) are they for the front wheel, rear drive side, or rear non-drive side?

thanks

btw I rode my new adv 1.1 today for the first time.  The bike is awesome!

@HankG Thanks for reaching out!

We're glad to hear you're stoked on your bike! We're going to tag some of our techs here to see if they can weigh in and answer your question for you. If you don't hear back soon, feel free to reach out to cyclinghelp@rei.com and they should be able to get you the info you're looking for. Thanks!

@HankG Thanks for your patience as we tracked down this info!

We heard back from the Co-op Cycles team. The spare spokes on the ADV 1.1 are both 291mm in length and are both for the rear wheel, on the drive side. This is typically the most likely side to experience a spoke break. For future reference here is a chart with all the spoke lengths of your bike:

BOM Assignment

Spoke Length

Front Drive Side

295MM

Front Brake Side

294MM

Rear Drive Side

291MM

Rear Brake Side

292MM

Spare Spoke #1

291MM (1PCS)

Spare Spoke #2

291MM (1PCS)

Hopefully this helps!

@rbbakeratl

I know you also just purchased a Co-op Cycles ADV 1.1, so I thought I'd tag you as you may find this information useful as well.

Enjoy your ride!
