I have a pair of the Pearl Izumi Women's W X Alp Canyon Shoes. I was using the shoes on bikes at a local gym. But since then I have bought a peloton and the cleats won't work on the Peloton original pedal. I really don't care to switch the pedals. So is it possible to have the cleats (not sure if that is proper name) on these shoes changed so that they can fit the Peloton original pedal? If not, can I have the cleats removed so I can use the shoe as a walking shoe? I really like these shoes so I am hoping to keep them in service. Thank you.
@Judykaykay Congratulations on the Peloton! Unfortunately, your shoes are not compatible with the Look Delta style cleats for the Peloton because of the different mounting hole positions. Although you can remove the cleats from your shoes, because they are cycling shoes - with or without cleats installed - they will have a stiffer sole that is designed for cycling. Thus, they may not be the most comfortable walking shoe for long distances.
Thank's for the response. I appreciate it.
