Are my bike shoes compatible with my Shimano Pedals?

Hi, I have the Shimano PD-ED500 Road Touring pedals. And recently purchased bike shoes only compatible with 3-hole cleats. Will 3-hole cleats fit into the Shimano PD-ED500 pedals?

@em__joness Thanks for reaching out!

A three hole cleat will not be compatible with the pedals that you have, as the Shimano PD-ED500 are only compatible with two-hole SPD cleats. You can take a look at three-hole compatible Shimano Pedals (referred to as SPD-SL) here. If you do not have three hole cleats yet, you can get a pair of Shimano SH-11 SPD-SL Cleats here.

Hope this helps!
