About: Superusers

Who are the REI Digital Community Superusers?

REI Digital Community Superusers are people who love to be outside and who enthusiastically share their knowledge, experience, and expertise with the community. They are active in outdoor activities and have an unstoppable urge to inspire and encourage others to get outside. These superusers have shown a high level of quality engagement in the community and have been recognized for their activity with this designation. Opinions and advice given by superusers belong solely to the superuser. Superusers do not speak on behalf of, or represent REI, in any way. They are not employees, agents or representatives of REI.

What is the superuser program?

The REI Digital Community Superuser program is our way of recognizing the high degree of quality engagement of some of our most active users. The contributions superusers make to the community, ranging from location expertise, to gear advice, to encouragement and inspiration, have incredible impact on the digital community at large. Superusers receive a unique icon that displays next to their username as well as a superuser badge on their profile in the community.

How can I become a superuser in the REI Digital Community?

We are always on the look-out for the most passionate and enthusiastic members of our digital community!  Inclusion in the superuser program is evaluated on a regular basis. Frequent participation and contribution of quality content in the community are primary criteria for being invited to the superuser program. Additionally, to be considered for the superuser program, you must be an REI member.

At REI, we believe time outside is fundamental to a life well lived.
