Advice for mounting Home Hangboards

Wondering if anyone has some advice for mounting a hangboard on a non-standard size door frame.

Just moved into a new apartment with any awkward size room off the living room--large walk-in closet or small den area. I'd love to turn it into a training room for climbing. First thought is to add a hangboard, although the room is closed off with two massive doors about 4 feet each in width, so the method of mounting a hangboard to a pull-up bar that spans a standards door frame doesn't seem possible. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

I’ve screwed a hangboard sized piece of 3/4” plywood to the studs above my door, then screwed my hangboard directly to the plywood. Don’t know if this would work in your case?

I’ve done the same and it worked great!
