@Philreedshikes - I love this topic! Thanks for starting it. I was lucky enough to get out on a little bikepacking trip last weekend and loved every ounce of the fall colors I came across!
@JakeMN - Whoa! I really love that lighthouse photo. Thanks for sharing.

I’m on my iPad, so not able to easily post photos here directly. But I was out in Shenandoah National Park just this past weekend to scout out the fall colors! Alas, there’s still a ways to go before they hit peak. I’m guessing within a week or two. It’s definitely changing, but still lots of green. On the other hand, while I was out near the top of one if the mountains, the clouds came and enveloped the mountain top. Then I came upon a dead tree made lonely by the fog and was able to get a true Halloween image!
Sorry for the link instead of embedded photo. I just can’t access my photo library and connect it to the forums on my iPad!
Early for us in the Georgia Mountains. It was November before we had much color showing up last year. Some of the vines are turning red; a few trees are getting some yellowish tinges to them. Nothing I can really show right now. However, I do have an interesting conjunction that happened a couple of weeks ago. The line of lights on the left are the floodlights lighting up the Rabun County High School, on the other side of the valley we overlook. The little bright light in the center is Venus. On the right is the moon, a little more than half full. Maybe next month I can show some colors! 🤞
While there are a few leaves starting to fall, and the foliage is dying back, there's really no color here yet, but I'll share some pics as soon as we do. We are in the "Just Changing" area.
