Is the Osprey Farpoint Trek Raincover large enough to cover my attached sleeping pad?

Just bought the Osprey farpoint Trek 55L and had a quick question as I am looking to save on a sleeping pad by getting a foam one.

Will my backpacks raincover be able to also cover my foam pad if it starts raining while hiking?

The pad will be located on the lower rear of the pack with the bottom straps. So itll be open to the elements.

Any help would be appreciated! thanks!

Hi there @AlexsKingdom!

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! Rain covers are typically designed to cover the entire pack, including the bottom of the bag completely. Being able to cover a sleeping pad that is attached below is not normally a problem. My only concern would be if the type of pad you are considering is something like the Z Lite, you will likely run into trouble. With choosing a pad that is wider than the base of your bag, the rain cover will have difficulty making the stretch.
