I have been camping for a long time but only hammock camping for a year. I have probably slept in my hammock camping 15+ times this year. Last weekend I stayed up in the Poconos on a two night camping trip.
This trip was the first time I have had really bad heel pain from hyper extending my legs while asleep. I’m aware of why it happens I’m just trying to figure out how since it never happened before.
has anyone experienced this? Is it because my hammock was strung to tight? Is there away to get around this besides sleeping with knees bent? I’m a back sleeper! Thanks REI fam
