I know this may be a long shot, but does anyone know how Northface waterproofed the Windypass tents in 1986 (silicon or polyurethane)? I have posted this question on REI's page about waterproofing and was told to contact the tent manufacturer. I already sent Northface the same question. They want me to send the tent to the warranty department. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. This is definitely just old tent syndrome and I am not wasting time and money shipping it to Northface. I would like to reseal the seams and maybe re-proofing the floor. I have researched products, but the warnings about making sure to use the proper product for the type of original waterproofing have me a bit concerned. Thanks!!
