Dream it! Build it! Love it! Join Open Space & Mtn. Parks (OSMP) on Saturday, May 1 from 9:00 a.m. - Noon to clean up Flagstaff Trailheads.
Due to COVID-19 more visitation has occurred at trailheads along Flagstaff and with more use, the more litter there is. Litter is problematic to wildlife – songbirds and raptors can ingest it along with other wildlife. Leaving litter with food smells (e.g. pizza boxes, sports bars or gum wrappers) causes bears to stop fearing humans and increases conflict, ultimately leading to those animals having to be euthanized. In short, litter is fatal to wildlife on OSMP. Please pass on the importance to disposing litter in waste bins or pack it out by following the basic Leave No Trace ethics when recreating.
Registration is Live on Count Me in Boulder (CMIB)
