Finding alternate ways to learn about rock climbing near Quincy, MA

Hello, I've been an REI member for several years now and I'm an older (63) beginner climber. I climbed a couple of easier boulders on the north shore and a chimney near Rattlesnake Hill and Chickatawbut. I do not drive currently and I'm trying to figure out ways to connect with local climbs or classes that are either in the Quincy area or near public transportation. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out!

Climbing is such a fun activity, no matter what your age! When I lived in Rockland, MA (I worked at the REI store in Hingham) I visited the Quincy Quarries rock climbing area a couple of times. It's a climbing area that is unlike anything I have ever experienced. You may be able to find some climbing groups on Meet Up or Facebook who spend time climbing there. Additionally, I believe it is within 1/4 mile of a transit stop, if I recall correctly.

Hopefully this helps, thanks!

At REI, we believe time outside is fundamental to a life well lived.

Thanks John, it's a start! Peace brother...
