Apps to locate good bikepacking trails

Curious what apps people use to locate bike good bikepacking trails. It would be great if the app also included review(s) of the trail. I am at least a three hour drive from anywhere and it is very disappointing when you arrive and the trail is not as advertised.

Have you tried the All Trails app? It's very intuitive and detailed for hikes and I use it all the time when trying new trails; it may be useful for bikepacking as well.

I will take a look at All Trails app for sure!

There are several options of apps for biking trails, some of which you need to filter down through options to find a 'true' bikepacking route. @Sims is spot on with the All Trails app, you may also want to consider Ride with GPSTrailforks, or MTB Project. A lot will depend on what kind of trails you're looking for gravel, touring, singletrack, etc, and your area. But those are a few good places to start. I also recommend checking out as it has a few routes that have a lot of detail.

Hopefully this helps, thanks!

Great info! Briefly took a look at Trailforks and MTB Project. Looking forward to spending some time planning a few adventures. I am new to sport and unsure of my level of abilities so I will start with a few beginner trails.

Thanks again for the response.
