Uh Oh, Check That Sleeping Pad Repair Kit!

sleeping pad had a very slow leak.

got home, blew up the pad, put in the bath tub, miraculously found the leak right away.

pulled out the repair kit I've been carrying around for, maybe 5yrs, punctured the tiny tube of rubber cement - totally dry.

found that other tube, maybe 5yrs + also, bone dry.

found another tube from the exped I bought last year, not dry.

lesson learned: those itsy bitsy tubes of cement only last so long, check and replace, unless you don't mind sleeping on the cold hard ground.

Never thought of that, but I guess I'm lucky that I've never had to fix a leak.

Yup. Same with bicycle inner tube patch kits.

I guess I need to check and see if I have my repair kit and if it is still good.

Enjoy
