I'm trying to remember a book I read about 15 years ago about a woman hiking solo fell about 60 ft. and was eventually rescued. I think she was backpacking in Yosemite. Name and author would be appreciated.
Just finished Things I Learned From Falling.
Thanks for any other suggestions.
One survival story that I really enjoyed was Buried in the Sky by Peter Zuckerman and Amanda Padoan — a story of Chhiring Dorje Sherpa and Pasang Lama who survived a harrowing day on K2.
There are a lot of other readers here in the community. Hopefully they will be able to share more suggestions too!
Not the book you are looking for and more of a non-fiction mystery, but the book The Last Season is phenomenal! Historical survival would be Endurance but that is deservedly highly recommended by many.
Havn't read it either but and obvious one is "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" by Aron Ralston which was made into the movie 127 Hours which I also haven't seen.
"Touching the Void" by Joe Simpson is good.
In a different vein, I enjoyed "Castaway" by Lucy Irvine.
