When you're talking about the shoe's insert, do you mean the thin, foam sockliner that sits on top of the stoneguard? If so, the shoe is designed so that the sockliner should sit on top without much motion or movement. That said, everyone's gait and shoe use is different, so some motion might occur. If you feel the sockliner is bunching up excessively, you could try an after-market insert, or maybe some double-sided tape in the areas where motion occurs.
