wondering how others cheer up a dark winter campsite during the holidays?

Battery operated lights?

I like to surprise everyone with a plastic bottle of gluhwein which I've lugged in and heat up before serving...yum! (I drink the gluhwein and let them have the plastic bottle)

What a fun question! I do carry a small string of battery powered lights, I think it's made by ENO. It provides a soft light that my kids really enjoy and its nice to not be blasting other folks in the tent with my headlamp all the time.

I'm intrigued by this gluhwein idea...
