Should I get a spray hand sanitizer or regular for my backpacking trip?
I agree with @OldGuyot.
I also worry about the spray nozzle breaking! If that happens then your stuck trying to pour out small amounts of liquid without spilling it all over yourself. (I may have encountered this issue before. LOL)
Liquid sanitizers ike
Liquid sanitizers like Purell or similar make great alcohol fuel or accelerant. But whatever works for you is fine.
I really like just carrying one of those little bottles my wife regularly picks up at Bath and Body Works. Don't hate me but the one in my pack right now is pumpkin spice (I know, I know...)
The bears love it!, Just kidding. Who knows, they might!
Also works great as a back-up fire starter, as noted above.
Pump mechanisms and aerosols just add extra bulk and weight. Take only just a bit more than you will actually need. A 1oz bottle is probably enough for most backpacking trips (<7 days)...your mileage may vary.
