Fabric that is lightweight, thin, inexpensive, and opaque (And maybe breathable)?

Looking to make a lightweight curtain- doesn't necessarily need to be water proof.

Trying to find the most lightweight, thin, inexpensive, and opaque fabric- ideally breathable as well.

Currently examining a Polyester Taffeta, 190t, 40GSM with silver coating, however the silver coating definitely makes it not breathable.  Any thoughts?

Hi @smiller616 - Thanks for reaching out!

Two other fabric options that align with your criteria are Taslan and Cordura 160. Both of these are widely available for purchase by the yard.

We hope some other community members will weigh in with their experience too. If you're keen on sharing, is this curtain for the inside of a tent? Those details might guide others with their suggestions.

Hopefully this helps!

At REI, we believe time outside is fundamental to a life well lived.

Hi @REI-CarterC - Yes, it is for the inside of a tent!
