Yakima sky box lost keys

Hi! We lost our keys to our Yakima skybox that was purchased at REI a few years ago. Our local stores are either closed permanently, or say they're open but the phone just rings and rings. Suggestions for getting our box rekeyed? Thanks!

You have two options here, both require that the lock core is unlocked.

The easiest way would be to order new Yakima SKS Lock Cores - Package of 2. Once you have them, you can use the included control key to remove your current lock cores, and then replace them with the new ones.

Another option is to remove your current lock cores to find the key number and then order new keys. Yakima makes it easy to order a replacement key here. In order to do get the key number you will need to remove the lock core from your car top box and find the number printed on the side of the core. The only way to do that is to have a control key, which can typically be found at any retailer that carries Yakima products. If you have any friends who have Yakima products with lock cores they may have a control key as well, as it comes with any lock core purchase.
