@pm -- yes, you can run standard tubes in them.

You can definately run tubes in Minions, or any clincher style tire for that matter.
I use these same tires, and have to say that they really shine when they are set up tubless. You should head into your local REI Shop and consult a service advisor to see if your rims can be set up tubeless. Most rims these days are tubeless compatible and may just need some new rim tape, tubeless valves, and sealant to complete the setup!
