Tent washing

I see there are specific products for cleaning /washing tents but would it be okay to use dilute Campsuds to soak wash my REI quarter dome tent?

@Lark Thanks for reaching out!

While you should be okay washing your tent in Campsuds as there isn't anything harmful to your tent in that product it may not be up to the task depending on what you need to wash out of your tent. We've had several conversations on this platform regarding tent washing so I'd recommend taking a look here and here for some more tips and thoughts on tent washing.

I hope this helps, thanks!

Thanks for the response and links, though I didn’t find those particularly helpful.  Since I have ‘suds, I’ll give that a go first.  If that doesn’t cut it, are there one or two products you’d recommend I try for a nylon tent like mine?

@Lark

Without knowing specifically what the issue is with your tent it is hard to make a direct recommendation for a cleaner. I realize they are buried deep within the thread but the links to several brands with cleaning products were in there. I'll put them here so they are easier to find:

Nikwax

Grangers

Rockin' Green

Nathan

GearX

I hope this helps, thanks!
