I'll start by saying there can be a lot of variance in sizing between brands so your best bet is always to bear that in mind and try them on if you can. That being said, in my experience XL ski pants tend to fit me pretty well and I wear 'normal' pants with a 38-40" waist depending on the brand. XXL ski pants tend to run 42"+ in the waist. Also you'll want to consider the length as I have often found that XXL pants are too long for my legs (I have a 30" inseam which is pretty short to be honest). One other thought is to check to see if there is a qualifier for the fit listed. Some brands will have 'relaxed' or 'baggy' fits as well as 'athletic' or 'alpine'. Those can definitely impact whether a size I usually wear will fit or not. I hope that helps, please reach out if you have any other questions!
