You certainly can return online purchases from REI.com to an REI store location! Just bring your item and proof of purchase in to your local REI and the customer service specialist would be happy to assist. The only exception to this is if you purchased an item from our Used Gear website in which case the item would need to be shipped back to our returns department.

The boots, jacket and socks are great but the vest is mis sized by your staff. There is no sizing label anywhere in the vest and I know my size. You advertised the vest as an extra large - it’s more like a 12; possibly a medium/large but no way is it an extra large to send it back, I believe you should pick up the return shipping I should not have to pay for a mis labeled item please email me a postage paid label for me to send it back to California.
Please give this matter serious consideration but the other items are fabulous, comfortable and fit perfectly, especially the boots
