I bought a Nemo Dagger 2 tent from the REI garage sale in the Northridge outlet. The "Location and Description of Problem" on the tag reports, "did not like the design and was used once". I found a hole in the screen on the top of the tent. What should I do in this case? Will the store I bought it from settle this and make it fair somehow? I feel pretty dumb for not checking before I purchased it, but I was assured by an employee that all returned items are checked to make sure all damage is accurately reported. I trusted this employee and didn't bother to check.

We're sorry you're having this issue with your tent. In store garage sale items are sold 'as is' and all sales are final. As such, items from our garage sales are not eligible for return. As you made the purchase at the Northridge store, your best bet would be to go back to the store and speak with them about your item.
