Why is this women NOT SPONSORED any REI? You show a picture of a "green vest" a young women of color so why not sponsor this women of color on her historic 10th ascent of Everest? Talk about motivational on so many levels.

We agree that Lhakpa Sherpa is an incredible climber and an inspiration to many!  While REI doesn’t sponsor individual athletes, we do support individuals who inspire us to get outside by helping to tell their stories. In fact, we featured Lhakpa Sherpa in an article in the Co-op Journal in November of 2018 to highlight her incredible accomplishments.
