How do I repair a hole in the seam of my inflatable pillow?

I have a Sea to Summit camping pillow, and the seam started to separate in at least one spot causing it to deflate pretty quickly. Do you have any suggestions for patching or repairing on the seam? Thank you!

Hey @AlexandriaP , oh man, a seam leak to almost impossible to fix.

If you've had it less than 1 year you can return it, else, I would call Sea to Summit directly, they just might exchange it.

good luck!

@AlexandriaP Thanks for reaching out!

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue with your pillow! As @Philreedshikes stated, the seam can be a challenging spot to repair, however, depending on the size of the 'hole' (the smaller the hole the easier to repair), we may have a couple of ideas to help keep your pillow in service:

First: We recommend using a product like Gear Aid Seam Grip Seam Sealer to act like a 'glue' to help re-seal the seam on your pillow. This product is specifically designed to be used with outdoor gear, so you don't have to worry about it causing damage to the fabric or other sealant in your pillow (like might happen if you use super glue from the hardware store).

Second: Reinforcing your seam repair with Gear Aid Tenacious Tape Mini Patches. Once you have one of these folded over your seam repair, we recommend letting it cure with some weight on it (like a handful of heavy books). Lastly, you could use the seam sealer to seal the edges of your tenacious tape, as another seal redundancy.

Hopefully this helps, thanks!
