How can I process a shoe exchange while REI stores are closed?

Hi,

I just bought 2 pairs of lasportiva hiking shoes online, I wasn’t too familiar with the europeon shoe sizes so I bought them 1/2 a size smaller, can I exchange them in the store when they open to properly fit them or do I have to do it online
