hiking shoes

My Aslo hikers give a glove fit for sure footing with little to no cushin. My Danners are good for support with little sole cushin. Merrell are OK but I'm no sure footed, less stability and some foot cushin. What do you suggest for 10 to 20 mile hikes?

What about Altra Lone peak4 or Altra Olympus?

@Gdavid46 thanks so much for reaching out! Footwear fit questions are really hard for us to answer online, because each vendor fits differently, even models within the same brands fit differently, and everyone's feet are different! A select shoe that one person loves won't fit the next person in the same way, so it's hard to say you should consider a specific brand or model without knowing about your feet (width, length, volume, arch length, etc.). We'd also need to know some of the specifics you want in the shoe - waterproof or not? Low, mid or boot? So, with all of those questions in mind, our recommendation, if possible, would be to go to one of our stores for a fitting. One possible suggestion with your Asolos would be to replace the footbed with an after-market insole, which can add both support and a bit of cushion. Hope this helps!
