Co-op Cycles DRT 2.1 Tubeless Conversion: Are the WTB Ranger tires tubeless ready?

Hi,  I just purchased the DRT2.1 and want to go tubeless.  I know the WTB rims are tubeless ready, but not sure on the tires.  Can it be set up tubeless as purchased or do I need new tires.  Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out!

The WTB Ranger tires on your Co-op Cycles DRT 2.1 are not tubeless ready. You will need to purchase a different tire in order to complete the tubeless conversion with this bike. If you'd like more information about setting up your bike as tubeless, check out this Expert Advice article, Tubed vs Tubeless: Should I Upgrade My Tires?. Additionally, you can always take any specific questions about the process to your local REI bike shop as well.

Hopefully this helps, thanks!

Thanks John.  My was concern was that the tires do not have "TCS" on them.  I'll go ahead and give it a try.  Chris

I was incorrect, the WTB Ranger tires that come with the Co-op Cycles DRT 2.1 are not tubeless ready as they have a wire bead. You will need to get a different tire that is tubeless ready in order to make this conversion.

I sincerely apologize for the mistake!
