We were scheduled for the REI Peru trip in June that was canceled due to COVID. REI refunded our tour fees but the REI suggested travel insurance company has denied our claim for airline fees. Has anyone else had this problem? REI recommended this insurance company. I will never again plan to travel with REI.

We are sorry to hear about your cancelled trip. Often there are different levels of travel insurance available from insurance companies, some cover flight cancellations for 'any reason' and some are only for 'covered reasons'.
