I am a member for over 40 years. My "go-to" backpack is the Flash 65. I'm planning another trip up Mt. Whitney but the bottom of the bag has been chew apart by a mouse.
Can I return it?
If so, how do I go about it.
Thanks, Michael Kent
@michaeljkent Thanks for reaching out and thanks for being a member for so long!
We're sorry to hear that your backpack was chewed open by a mouse. Our Satisfaction Guarantee states:
We stand behind everything we sell. If you're not satisfied with your REI purchase, you can return it for a replacement or refund within one year of purchase -- except for outdoor electronics, which must be returned within 90 days of purchase. REI’s Satisfaction Guarantee policy doesn't cover ordinary wear and tear or damage caused by improper use or accidents.
It sounds like the damage your backpack sustained does not fall under our satisfaction guarantee. Depending on the damage, you may be able to find a repair shop that specializes in outdoor gear and salvage your pack. If you don't have a repair shop in your area, we recommend Rainy Pass Repair. You can read more about them and other repair shops we partner with at our Repair Services page.
Hopefully this helps!
