Broken tent pole

REI Quarter Dome 2 - single system tent pole that depends on elastic ....a portion of the elastic has lost its ability to contract.  Where can I get a replacement?

Hello @WinsbergInAz sorry to hear that your pole has seen better days, but it must be a well loved tent!  You have a few options here.  If there is nothing structurally wrong with the pole, many people have had success re-stringing the pole using shock cord.  Shock cord can be purchased in custom lengths at many REI stores and a Green Vest in our Camping Department would love to help you out!

If you would like to replace the pole in it's entirety, while we do not sell replacement poles, we often refer customers to a company called TentPole Technologies.

They are helpful, experienced, and familiar with our tents!  I hope this helps!

At REI, we believe time outside is fundamental to a life well lived.

Hello @WinsbergInAz , you can always check out REI's Care and Repair videos in our Expert Advice articles for gear and apparel how-to's. This might be more specific to your needs... Let us know if it helps!

Happy trails!

When the shock cord in your tent poles is frayed, or has lost its stretch, you'll want to replace it-this video will show you how. Watch the video, then shop...
