What a year it has been! Just like that, we have found ourselves in 2022. The conversations you all had within the community this last month taught us lots, kept us laughing, and were constant reminders on why we are so thankful you all spend time with us throughout the year. December is a month like no other and we hope that the busyness of it all included some enjoyable time outside for you with friends or family.

What's new in Conversations?

Following a fun and engaging thread about your best outdoor hacks and tricks on the Co-op Member Questions board, two hacks were chosen to be featured in an upcoming REI Co-op Member Newsletter — high five to @Philreedshikes and @tadoerner! Seeing this community’s expertise shared with even more people is always rewarding. We are looking forward to more opportunities for co-op wide collaboration going forward.

Topic highlights for the month:

Winter Camping Tent and Gear Suggestions? - @wdcrozier

What’s Your Favorite National Park? - @AngiePaddlesandMore

What Old Backpacking Gear Do You Have?@JohnL02

In case you missed it:

It was a big year for the co-op, within this digital community and beyond. As we look into 2022, we wanted to share what the co-op accomplished in 2021 thanks to the help of all of you. A standout achievement from our dedicated members and employees was the impact made on tackling climate crisis and making the outdoors a more equitable place. We are proud of what has been accomplished so far and look forward to the future of the work ahead.

Thanks to each of you for sharing your knowledge, stories, and passion for the outdoors with us and each other. We’re excited to see what this space grows into in 2022!
