Just curious what folks have on their hiking/biking bucket list..
For me:
#1/#2 GDMBR/CDT (ride it not race it:)) and Trans-America bike ride Virginia to Oregon
@hikebikefun Thanks for starting an awesome thread!
Here are my top three (for right now):
How about everyone else?!?
Sounds great!
@hikebikefun I once kayaked out to Smith Island in the Chesapeake and camped there for a week. It was a phenomenal experience living among locals and I would love to do that again. Aiming a little higher I would love to visit the Hadaii Gwaii..........
Great question!
In no particular order:
These are great, definitely let me know how you accomplish that last one, you may have a best selling book there!
Pacific Northwest is beautiful! What great ideas.
Snakes! Reasonable fear! We have a healthy population of rattlers in Southwest Texas... I try to live with the mantra leave them alone and they will leave me alone! Oh and go around them with room to spare!!
Thanks for sharing!
Number one is the thru-hike of the AT. Number two is to grab my goldwing and travel across Canada 😉
Thanks for sharing! It wasn't until I moved to Alaska that I fully grasped the scope of motorcycle touring. It looks really awesome! Not that you'd want to take your Goldwing up the Dalton highway (gravel and really rough) but it is definitely a compelling reason to think about learning to ride a motorcycle!
@REI-JohnJ My first duty station was Adak in 1981. Loved Alaska....GREAT Fishing
