Repairing Old Gear

Does anyone have good suggestions on repairing an old GoLite shell jacket, it has a tear and the old velcro hooks are worn. I want to replace with a velcro patch glued to the sleeve adjustments.

Will this hold up?

Great topic @RunningOnCoffee!

First off, thank you for working on this jacket to help keep it out of the landfill! It sounds like you still have a lot of trail time left with this jacket. I have used Gear Aid products to do numerous repairs to extend the life of my gear and they have worked great. I haven't used any hook and loop replacements so I can't speak to that specifically, but I have never had any issue with their repair patches or glues continuing to hold after years of use. Again, thanks for continuing to use your gear to it's fullest; I hope this helps, best of luck!
