Yoga for the Outdoor Enthusiast
Description: Practicing yoga is an excellent way to develop strength, balance, and flexibility. Join REI's professional yoga instructor for an in-store class tailored to help enhance your pursuit of season specific outdoor activities. Whether you are cross country skiing and snowshoeing through the winter, or paddling and climbing through the summer, the benefits of yoga will improve your overall experience. We have designed this class to target key body areas that are commonly tight or easily injured. This is an all level class with the intent to make you feel at ease with beginning yoga to be able to create an at home practice. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
Skills you'll learn:
Provide participants with increased awareness of body awareness and posture. Provide guidance on technique, clothing, and equipment. Increase knowledge and understanding of yoga.
Required Legal Form:
This course requires the participant to read and sign a liability release form before participating. Please see "Required Legal Form" for the session you are registering for. You will need to print, sign and bring the form to your class.

- Water Bottle
- Yoga appropriate clothing - Avoid loose shorts and tops with hoods, as poses may be upside down or wide-legged. Beware of exposing more than expected. Fitted clothes allow greater ease of movement. Moisture-wicking fabric won't stick when bending and offers quick-dry comfort.
