For now, the REI Co-op Sahara Convertible pants and more <a href=\"\/b\/rei-co-op\">REI Co-op brand gear<\/a> will have to tide you over.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>How do you make the perfect piece of gear? It\u2019s a challenging, time-intensive process of addition and deletion, finding what works and what doesn\u2019t. From the new <a href=\"\/s\/rei-co-op-drypoint-gtx-jackets\">REI Co-op Drypoint GTX jacket<\/a> to the iconic <a href=\"\/product\/110819\/rei-co-op-quarter-dome-2-tent\">REI Co-op Quarter Dome tent<\/a>, the co-op has created hundreds of products over the years, seeking that perfect balance between needs and dreams. But, for the first time ever, we\u2019ve designed a piece of apparel so versatile and customizable it almost defies common sense: the REI Co-op ZipAll.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/4K8A3WJnYkI\" title=\"Introducing the ZipAll || REI\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>More than a year in the making, our new adventure jumpsuit was inspired by one of our customer favorites, the\u00a0REI Co-op Sahara Convertible pants.\u00a0They\u2019re comfortable and attractive, with a zip-off design that takes them from pants to shorts. But why stop there? Why not four zippers per leg for even more adjustability? For that matter, why even stop at pants? We asked ourselves:\u00a0What would the world look like if you could have a single piece of hyperlight, super-breathable and ultra-warm apparel?<\/p>\n<p>And thus, the concept for the ZipAll was born.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-151848\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rei.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/04\/zipall-blog-img.jpg?w=1024&#038;resize=1024%2C683\" alt=\"ZipAll suit on man in photo studio white background four poses\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To design what is possibly our finest masterpiece yet, we started with the best attributes of the Sahara Pants\u2014the comfortable, breathable fabric and intelligent zipper functionality.\u00a0True to our collaborative design philosophy, we listened to feedback from members and staff to understand key features they wanted, like more customizability and a single piece of apparel for multiple climates. The end result is the ZipAll, because who doesn\u2019t want the ability to wear a leotard on trail and who doesn\u2019t need a roasting-stick holster, for all of those long hours by the campfire? We also used a miracle fabric, which wicks moisture and sheds water while being breathable, lightweight and heavy duty all at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-article_body wp-image-31920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rei.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/03\/TF_101z_032118_0572.jpg?resize=1024%2C682\" alt=\"Woman in Zipall suit crouched next to a log\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone on the team pitched in. Anything they thought was a limiting factor in their adventures or a must-have, we put it together in the ZipAll.
