The card provides access to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites, including national parks, wildlife refuges and forests, creating easier access for Veterans and their families to access the American outdoors. Photo courtesy of the National Park Service.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Free park entrance on Veterans Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee are free to everyone on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/planyourvisit\/fee-free-parks.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Veterans Day<\/a>, Nov. 11. It&#8217;s one of several &#8220;free entrance days&#8221; at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/findapark\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">400 national parks<\/a> in 2024. Note that the entrance fee waiver doesn&#8217;t cover other user fees, like charges for camping, boat launches, transportation or special tours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/visit\/passes-permits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">U.S. Forest Service<\/a> waives recreation fees at most day-use sites on lands it manages. The agency has released its list of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/visit\/passes-permits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">free entrance days in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pick up a pass in-person<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To search a list of locations where you can purchase or pick up a pass in person, visit the National Park Service&#8217;s webpage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/planyourvisit\/pickup-pass-locations.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Places to Get Interagency Passes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get a pass online<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Can\u2019t make it in-person to pick up a pass?
